Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS)

Empowering Change Through Personalized Support

Intensive Behavioral Health Services Program

At St. Anthony’s Point, we are committed to providing comprehensive, community-based support for children and adolescents with significant behavioral health needs through our Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS). Licensed by the state of Pennsylvania, our IBHS program offers tailored care plans designed to address each child’s unique challenges, promoting positive behavioral change and emotional well-being.

Individual Services

Our individual IBHS services are designed to provide one-on-one support tailored to the specific needs of each child or adolescent. These services are delivered in the child’s natural environments—home, school, or community—ensuring that interventions are relevant and effective. Our team works closely with families and educators to create a consistent and supportive environment that fosters growth and development.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)

ABA is a cornerstone of our IBHS program, especially for children on the Autism Spectrum and those with other developmental or behavioral challenges. ABA is an evidence-based approach focused on improving specific behaviors such as social skills, communication, and learning through positive reinforcement.
ABA Can Help With:
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD): ABA is the primary treatment for children on the spectrum, helping them develop essential social and communication skills while reducing challenging behaviors.
  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD): ABA assists children with ADHD in developing self-regulation skills like improved attention, impulse control, and emotional management. This approach helps reduce ADHD symptoms and enhances overall functioning.
  • Intellectual Disability: ABA focuses on building adaptive skills, such as daily living, social interaction, and communication, increasing independence and enhancing the quality of life.
  • Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD): Through repetitive practice and reinforcement, ABA helps children with DCD develop gross and fine motor skills.
  • Tourette Syndrome: ABA can effectively manage tics and reduce problem behaviors, such as aggression or self-injury, by identifying and reinforcing alternative behaviors.
  • Anxiety Disorders: ABA helps children develop coping skills like relaxation techniques and problem-solving, reducing anxiety through gradual exposure to feared situations and reinforcement of adaptive behaviors.
  • Other Mental Health Disorders: ABA is also beneficial for children dealing with depression, PTSD, OCD, and other mental health challenges, addressing maladaptive behaviors and promoting adaptive coping mechanisms.
